Legal assistant Jessica Kursun relocated from New Jersey to join Strickler, Platnick & Hatfield. Her duties at the firm include communicating with clients and other divorce professionals, preparing documents, maintaining client files, and conducting prospective client intakes. Jessica also regularly assists the firm’s attorneys with discovery matters, trial preparation, drafting motions, and calendar scheduling, and provides general support in the office wherever it may be needed.
Jessica finds it rewarding to be able to assist people who are facing some of their toughest times and guide them through the complexities of the legal process. Known for her friendliness, compassion, and sense of humor, Jessica enjoys being able to make a difference in people’s lives. As she helps clients navigate the emotional uncertainty that can often come with family law matters, she is dedicated to making things easier for them in any way she can.
In addition to her experience in the legal field, Jessica brings her diverse educational background to the firm. Jessica received her paralegal certification from Boston University and holds an associate degree in psychology from Passaic County Community College. A former pastry chef, Jessica also attended the Institute of Culinary Education, where she received her diploma from the Pastry and Baking Arts Program.
Outside of work, Jessica enjoys reading, the performing arts, playing board and video games, and attending hockey games and rock concerts.
