From the moment Allison Druckemiller joined Strickler, Platnick & Hatfield, she quickly proved to be an essential member of the team. Although Allison originally considered becoming a criminal defense attorney upon entry into law school, she quickly developed an affinity for working with families while working as an intern in a family law-adjacent role at the Montgomery County Office of the Public Defender. Once her summer internship concluded, she decidedly shifted her attention and focus to family law. However, her familiarity with criminal law also provides insight when criminal law and family law matters intersect—as they often do.

Allison brings many strengths to the table for the benefit of the firm’s clients. Her personal and professional experiences have honed her open-minded, compassionate, and non-judgmental interpretation of the world around her. Allison understands that each person has a unique, profound and important story to tell, and she takes pride in learning about her clients’ lives and needs. Allison prioritizes helping people feel heard and respected and recognizes that their input is valued and necessary to the process of family law. She is an excellent communicator, a great listener, and helps clients understand the challenging legal landscape they face.

Clients, colleagues, and other professionals value Allison’s critical thinking skills and tireless work ethic. Allison is an impassioned professional. She is the first in her family to graduate from college, working two jobs throughout her undergraduate and law school education, as well as undertaking an internship simultaneously, just so she could be best prepared to hit the ground running at the start of her professional career. Her drive is apparent in all she does, and Allison is meticulous in performing every task she undertakes, whether analyzing discovery responses, preparing written motions, or working on trial preparations.

Client engagement is critical to successful management of family law matters, and Allison is committed to maintaining a high level of communication with each client. She collaborates with clients to ensure that the legal strategy for their case accounts for their individual realities.
